Hunter wins All-Star tourney and earns his first trophy!!!

Congrats to Hunter for winning his first trophy. He can't stop smiling about it. His All-Star team went undefeated in the tournament and won each game by an average of 11 runs. Hunter batted 1.000 for the tournament. I'm quite jealous of their uniforms. They got flex fit hats and under armour jerseys. I always got stuck with mesh hats and a t-shirt for our all-star teams.

RedSox finish 3rd...

Congrats to the RedSox for finishing the city tournament in 3rd place. Not bad for a team that only had one 8 year old.

Cougar Camp Day 2...

The boys were tired today, but woke up quickly when they saw Coach Mendenhall. Alex was too nervous to meet him and Hunter did not know who he was. :) Hunter continued his domination on his smaller opponents in his age group and Alex was in the top 3 in the 40 yard dash. They were able to hit the 'tackling dummy' alot today and they started out hugging it. After some guidance from me they were laying the wood on the dummy, which then turned to a few ninja kicks and elbows...kids will be kids...I've added another slideshow below..i realize my camera can't handle the action photos, and makes them blurry

Sox beat Braves...

The RedSox did it again tonight, beating the Braves 6-3. Tomorrow night they play the Cubs. The winner will advance to the championship agains the Devil Rays.

BYU Football Camp Day 1...

Hunter and Alex started football camp today. The morning was highlighted with the 1 on 1 receiver/defender drills in the end zone. Alex intercepted a pass. Hunter swatted the ball and put a hit on his receiver. Jake and I went crazy...I'm sure the other parents thought we were crazy...you can see pics below

Congrats to Hunter...

A big whoop, whoop to Hunter for making the All-Star team. Hunter batted over .933 for the season (his only 2 outs were fielders choices') 1.000 on base percentage and had zero strikeouts. Hunter is most excited about getting another shirt and hat to wear and the opportunity to win another trophy. ( makes me proud )

Memorial Day Weekend

Hunter and I were fortunate enough to attend the BYU father and sons basketball camp, and lay some Hill talent upside the head of some former BYU basketball players. Give us a 3 banger for that.
The weekend included basketball drills from Coach Rose and the current players. Games including 5 on 5, 3 on 3, 1 on 1, volleyball, football wiffleball, soccer and more. Sunday we got to go watch 'Music and the Spoken Word', have sac. meeting on temple square and have a fireside with D. Durrant and Jimmer.
Hunter's favorite thing was eating all the noodles and ice cream at the cannon center and staying in the hotel ( dorm haha )
Dad's favorite thing was playing flag football on the turf, and scorching the santiago brothers in every sport.
